Here is an extremely rare Majestic model 174 chrome-front radio. The outstanding feature of this radio is the program clock in the side of the radio. This allowed the used to set start and stop times and the radio station and at the appointed time, the radio would automatically turn on and seek the selected station. It is a stunning radio in very nice condition.

The model 194 miniature Gothic cathedral is only 14” tall and another stunning example from 1934. The 194 (440 chassis), is a good example from the art-deco period for small table radios. It contains 4 tubes, but it is a superheterodyne. After downloading the schematic I found it was part reflex; the IF amplifier and first audio share the same pentode, a 6F7.

The Majestic model 291 table model radio is in the Art Moderne design made of carefully matched walnut and given two-tone treatment. The radio is a 9-tube superheterodyne using 2 ˝ Volt tubes and has Automatic Volume Control, new for 1933. Automatic Synchro-Silent Tuning, Tone Control and full-wave duo-Diode Detector.

Introduced in late 1932, this 11 tube superhet (chassis 300-A) was totally unique to anything that was on the market, inside & out! From its gothic pipe-organ front panel design to the 2 illuminating stained glass inserts, it is and was, unlike any other floor model. of "Visual-Lite Tuning" that helped tune in stations visually by having the dial light get stronger or dimmer as station signals were received. This set was also the first circuit to use resistance-coupled, push-pull amplification.
