The Emerson BA199  is a compact radio receiver employing TRF circuit.  There is an inherent lack of sensitivity and selectivity in this receiver.  The wire chassis type construction is used which together with the reproducer unit results in a compact receiver.  The entire radio is enclosed in a Bakelite cabinet of pleasing design.

The Emerson 508 is a compact portable radio receiver employing the super-heterodyne circuit and uses four 7-pin miniature tubes; 1R5, 1T4, 1S5 and 3S4. It’s housed in a plastic case and hand wired. The radio was introduced in 1948 and was one of the smallest radios available with good sensitivity and good quality sound.

The Emerson 520 is a compact radio receiver employing the super-heterodyne circuit and miniature 7-pin tubes.  The inherent sensitivity, selectivity and tone quality of the super-heterodyne is a feature of this receiver.  The unit type construction is used which together with the reproducer unit results in a compact receiver of excellent performance.  The entire hand wired chassis is enclosed in a Catlin plastic cabinet of pleasing design.

The Emerson model 704 is a compact portable radio receiver employing the super-heterodyne circuit and uses four 7-pin miniature tubes; 1R5, 1U4, 1U5 and 3V4. It’s housed in a plastic case and hand wired. The radio was introduced in 1955 and was one of the more interesting radios available with good sensitivity and good quality sound.
