The model 15 was most likely designed to be small and did not incorporate all the technical features of the model 20 superheterodyne. The 15 performs okay, it uses a single pentode as oscillator and mixer, it has no AVC and uses grid detection but like most GG Majestic has their speaker and sounds very good.

1931 GG Majestic model 15B radio

Superheterodyne receiver chassis is a compact radio receiver employing the superheterodyne circuit.  The inherent sensitivity, selectivity and tone quality of the superheterodyne is a feature of this receiver.  The circuit as follows: radio frequency stage, local oscillator, first detector, intermediate frequency stage, second detector (power detector), and a push-pull power amplifier stage.  Including the power supply rectifier, eight tubes are used in the Model 20 chassis. 

1931 GG Majestic model 20 radio

This radio was made in 1934, by the Grigsby-Grunow Corp.  This is a four tube Superheterodyne, shortwave/broadcast radio.  The chassis 440 employs an exceedingly efficient superheterodyne circuit utilizing four tubes including a rectifier.  In the combination of tubes as shown above, a performance quality equal to six tubes is realized.  The speaker, model G-26-F with a field resistance of 980 ohms is capable of tremendous amount of power for its size.  

1933 GG Majestic model 44B (440 chassis) radio

This radio was made in 1934, by the Grigsby-Grunow Corp.  This is a four tube Superheterodyne, shortwave/broadcast radio.  The chassis 440 employs an exceedingly efficient superheterodyne circuit utilizing four tubes including a rectifier.  In the combination of tubes as shown above, a performance quality equal to six tubes is realized.  The speaker, model G-26-F with a field resistance of 980 ohms is capable of tremendous amount of power for its size.  

1933 GG Majestic model 49B (440 chassis) radio

Here is another reason that Majestic Radio is known for fine radios and innovative cabinets. The use of Birdseye maple veneers and the offset use of black trim. The condition is superb, and you can see how special the classic harp grille is, with the unusual use of aluminum. It is also in very fine condition and is the perfect offset. The radio is playing well, with no recent repairs made. This is a highly collectable

1933 GG Majestic model 55 “Duet”

The Majestic model 59 "studio" is raw "Art Deco" a compact and highly collectible depression era tombstone radio. The radio measures 13 ˝” High, 10” Wide, 9” Deep. With its finely polished aluminum grille bars, twin escutcheons, contrasting two-tone veneers and machine-like knobs it truly has a majestic appearance that screams "art deco" whichever way you look at it! It covers two bands, standard broadcast (535-1550kc) and shortwave (1480-4440kc),
